A: Absolutely! We have spin classes in the UREC cycle studio so you can still practice cycling on stationary bikes, and a club member can probably lend you one if you want to race.
Q: I have never done a triathlon before but am interested in joining. Is that okay?
A: Of course! We have members of every level from experienced racers to those who have never done a triathlon. We accept all levels, and our captains can help you with anything you need.
Q: Where are good places to ride around Harrisonburg?
A: Check this site out for some of our club's popular places to ride: http://ridewithgps.com/. The username and password are listed on our Blackboard account.
Q: How much are dues, and what do I get for paying them?
A: Dues are only $45 per semester. After paying dues, you will receive a T-shirt, access to our practices, personal assistance from our coach, discounts from sponsors, equipment, and apparel. Dues also cover travel and lodging for team races and, in some cases, reimbursements for race entry fees.
Q: Are practices mandatory?
A: No, however for every practice you attend you receive a point. The members with the most points receive reimbursements to help cover race entry fees.
